Parking at Stansted: car parks and prices

Independent London Airport travel guide · not affiliated with London Stansted Airport.

The cheapest official parking at Stansted is Long Stay or JetParks, pre-booked from about £59 for an eight-day stay. Prices drop sharply when you book ahead rather than turning up at the barrier, and short waits are far cheaper handled through the drop-off zone than a car park. Every official car park is below. Prices checked August 2026.

The official car parks

Car parkPrice (pre-book)Notes
Long Stayfrom ~£59.99 / 8 days7 min to terminal by free shuttle, cheapest for longer trips
JetParksfrom ~£58.99 / 8 daysAbout 10 min transfer, closes over winter
Mid Stayfrom ~£64.99 / 8 days7 min shuttle, also the free drop-off option
Short Stayfrom ~£74.99 / 7 days1 to 10 min walk to terminal, closest
Meet & Greet (valet)from ~£79 / 8 days2 to 3 min to terminal, car parked for you

Long Stay and JetParks pre-booked are the cheapest official options for a holiday. JetParks closes over winter, so check availability for your dates. Short Stay is the closest to the terminal, a 1 to 10 minute walk, but it is priced for convenience rather than long trips. Meet & Greet is the premium option, where staff park the car for you a few minutes from the terminal.

Pre-book, do not turn up

The gap between a pre-booked price and the turn-up rate is large. Short Stay turn-up rates, for example, start at £13 for up to 30 minutes, £21 for up to an hour, £25 for up to two hours and £38 for up to four hours, so a same-day arrival at the barrier costs far more than the same space booked online. Book online for your exact dates to get the advertised "from" prices.

Short waits and pick-ups

If you are only stopping to set someone down or collect them, a car park is the wrong tool. The terminal Express Set Down zone is £10 for up to 15 minutes, and the free alternative is 60 minutes in the Mid Stay car park with a shuttle to the terminal. The full breakdown, including how the barrier-free ANPR payment works and how to avoid a Parking Charge Notice, is on the drop-off and pick-up page. If you are weighing driving against the train or coach, compare the public transport page too.
